Integrate Handoff in my website to give my visitors estimates.

On my website, I want homeowners to “get an estimate”, and they can use Handoff AI to get one.

Display a Material Total and Labor Total on the estimate and proposal, so I can show the customer.

Currently, Handoff doesn’t tell me the $ total for Materials and Labor. It itemizes them, which is nice, but I need to manually add it up myself manually to figure out the running Material Total and Labor Total. Some projects or owners require this. I prefer that AI does this, because I may miscount manually. I don’t need Material and Labor broken group by group. Just 1 final total for each is enough. In some cases, I like to show the homeowners the material costs vs labor costs. Sometimes the clients require it, say for bigger GCs. My preference may change job by job for this, so i should be able to ajdust.

Ability to choose multiple terms and conditions into a proposal and an additional field for an additional alternatives

In Terms & Conditions you can load those but only one of your presets is can be applied in the proposal . If you can load more than one preset Terms & Conditions you can modify the structure of those terms of you to multiple different projects like we do. I would like to be able to select more than one preset in the terms & conditions section. Would also like a section before that for Option or Add Alternates that otherwise font add into the total of a project versus uploading a bunch of attachments which makes it more unprofessional.

Add field for Website on Proposals

We need a spot under Proposal Settings for our website please. When I send a proposal, I want my website included in my company info in the header. It should be clickable.

Ask for reviews from my clients

Does it have any option for Google reviews like send it out asking for a Google review?

Integrate with CompanyCam

We are using Company Cam as a day to day project management platform. We’d love to see some integration where we can see the estimate/proposal within Company Cam and be able to enter real numbers as we go through the project as a direct cost comparison. Our clients have access to picture updates and chat function so it feels like a perfect spot for them to keep an eye on expenses. We love how the UI functions in company cam and if it could be a bit more robust with budget tracking we’d be in a great spot.

Let me attach files beneath a Proposal Group, like Landscape Photos w/ the Landscape Section

I don't want to lump together all my photos and files at the bottom of my estimate. I want my photos to be with the relevant proposal section.

Manual Takeoff/Labeling tool: Let users upload drawings and sketch.

Have the ability to draw a floor plan, or sketch on the existing plan and show the customer visually. Basically sketching inside the handoff app. In the “Upload plans” tool, allow users to manually draw a perimeter line around the surface of the house. Let them label and highlight that perimeter to give the AI clearer context for generating takeoffs. This would be especially useful for siding work. manually outlining the perimeter when plan dimensions aren’t exact.

Offline Mode

Option to access Handoff data when in an area for with no service. I know the AI needs internet access to create an estimate but would be very helpful to be able to view documents or info already created in the app and even add a client or at least create the project and upload pictures/videos taken into the project

I like Handoff's bullets, they're just a little short. Can you let me increase the level of detail? Can you let Handoff remember that for me?

Automatically send receipt when an invoice is paid.

Self explanatory. My homeowners are not all tech savvy. They do expect to get a receipt emailed right after paying something. Handoff lets them download it from the invoice page, but what if they close out or forget? The email copy lives forever. It’s a common practice.

How do I shut off the questions it asks? Can that be shut off please.

Invoices - let me Mark as Paid while Invoice is in draft

Right now I have to send the invoice to mark it as paid. There are times where I’ve done the work and already have been paid. I’m just using Handoff for record keeping. It’s awkward to have to send the client an invoice (or send it to myself) to work around this.

Partial Payment Support & Remaining Balance Calculation

Allow users to record partial payments against an invoice and automatically update the remaining balance. The invoice should clearly display the original amount, amount paid, and outstanding balance without requiring manual calculations or invoice modifications.

I want my Estimate Groups consistently in the same order.

I would prefer consistency. The groups don't always fall in 1 order. I cant say the groups have ever been in any particular order. If we can't get them in the order of construction, you could consider alphabetical order as a fail safe.

I want a company-level financial dashboard that I can trust

Right now we’re manually pulling financial reports, but the pipeline data isn’t always accurate because unapproved projects can distort forecasts. I need a clearer dashboard for outstanding balances and company-wide financial visibility.

Materials Purchasing

Once your client approves a proposal, getting materials ordered usually means rebuilding the list somewhere else, going back and forth with suppliers, and chasing receipts afterward. We're working on bringing materials purchasing into Handoff. Order what each job needs directly from your approved estimates, keep track of what's been bought, and see your purchases reflected on the job.

Material selections, allowances and deadlines

I would love to be able to set materials as allowanced, but also list a specific product. Include a deadline for customers to change the material. -For example, I could specify a specific floor tile to use as the allowance for a job. -Then set a specific deadline for the customer to change that material (ideally this can be done through the schedule, so I could set a rule, 6 weeks before tile task is their deadline.) -This way if they do not make a change by the deadline, the job can move forward with the original material. Another nice feature would be to offer other selections the customer could choose from with the ability to specify markups for each independently(we may have a supplier that we can get a certain product well below regular pricing and mark that up much more than another product.) Add in the ability to include an allowance summary table in proposals or as a separate document, so we can show a client a clear list of all allowanced materials and the cost they would have to spend at the store on those items(ie $1200 store cost for vanity, $4/sqft for tile, etc)

Create change order

Projects change often, even after the initial proposal is signed. Let me create Change Orders with Handoff. Change Orders are like amendments to the original proposal/agreement. They function like their own mini-estimate: they have line items, qty rates and item totals, markup, etc. They should be quick to generate. Often they'll be short, like 5 lines or less. We need these change orders signed, and invoiceable.

Invoicing - Provide options for faster payouts

When my clients pay with Handoff invoices, Handoff pays me out once every 2 business days. Sometimes, I just need the money faster. Usually the deposit invoice is my money to go buy materials. Sometimes this needs to happen same day, next day, or over the weekend. If I get the invoice paid Friday but have to wait until Tuesday, that's can delay my projects. Please give me a faster option. Can I get Next Day? Can I get same day or instant?

Renderings: Let AI create a rendering based on my description

Sometimes, a client needs a visual to picture what the final project will look like. That rendering can help me win the deal. If AI could make a rendering of the room, the deck, the new ADU, etc at the early stage of this estimate, it would make me look more professional and help me close jobs.

Lower Transaction Fees for project invoices

Currently Handoff charges 3.6% for credit card fees. We plan to switch payment processors to provide reduced payment fees in the range of 2.9%-3.15% for credit cards, depending on the contractor’s subscription tier with Handoff. This makes it easier for everyone to use online payments for Handoff’s project invoices.

Projects feature - store all estimates, invoices, proposals in 1 place

In the future, this transition will allow Handoff to store project photos, project notes, project drawings, change orders, material lists, and similar documents in 1 place.

Ability to upload drawings / plans to create estimates

I would love to upload a drawing set and have Handoff create an estimate based on the drawings. It would ideally determine quantities and scopes based on the drawings.

Basic Calendar for Scheduling Site Visit and Onsite Work

I think also a good feature that could be added would be a schedule or a calendar somewhat. Something in there that has the start date of the project the end date of the project that way you’re able to stay a little bit more organized. I would be able to consolidate one of my tools that we currently use if you were able to do something like that.

Integrate with Quickbooks Online (QBO)

Let me upload photos and use them to create estimates

When I show up to a project, my first step is walking the jobsite, and taking photos & notes. Then I refer to those photos to create my Handoff prompt. I also send some critical jobsite photos with my outgoing proposal. I would like to start an estimate, and take photos inside of the Handoff app (instead of my phone camera app). Those photos would save to the Estimate, and I could write descriptions on them on the site walk. I then can walk to my truck, review my photos and notes, and make a quality prompt. Right now I take 100s of photos on my phone, so it’s disorganized and unlabeled. And then I have paper notes or phone notes, which is also disorganized.

Use Home Depot pricing in my estimates

I have all my accounts through Home Depot and buy my materials there. I don’t want to switch to another big box store provider. Just pull their material price data for me.

I have different % markups for material or labor. Sometimes I don’t even markup one or the other. Handoff only lets me have 1 global markup which is limiting.

AI Preferences

I want to save my preferences about how I like to estimate. I want AI to use those preferences moving forward so I don't have to repeat myself in every project description and prompt. This would help me get uniform results. For example, I would use this to add: - default labor rates - default UOMs (I prefer $/SF for labor, not $/HR) - default Section naming - default items (always include line items for permits, supervision, travel) - default material selections and pricing (for flooring, always use engineered hardwood at $12/SF). etc

Taxes: let me set a tax % and control how it displays to my client.

This would function as a line separate from markup and just above markup. It’s not part of the estimate, it’s “below the line.” Subtotal $X Tax $Y Markup $Z _______________ Grand Total = X + Y + Z Bonus points: Based on the project’s price location, figure out my correct tax % as it changes by county.
