Time Tracking: Let crews clock in & out of projects, and code their time.
To track budgets vs actual, I need to know my actual labor costs. The only way I know those is by tracking hours and thus labor costs per project. I need my crew to log these hours themselves, daily. I should then be able to compared hours estimated vs hours actually worked (BvA).

Ideally this would be a full fledged timeclock feature, so crews use the app to clock in and out.
In an ideal world this is synced to the schedule feature, so an employee is assigned a job, when they clock in that day, it automatically clocks them into the job they are assigned.
The tasks from the estimate they are assigned to show up for them, so they can mark them as complete and that updates the schedule accordingly.
ie employee is assigned to frame addition as the task. Sub tasks are included inside the task:
Install sill plate with sill seal and termite flashing
Install floor framing
Install subfloor
Install exterior walls
Frame ceiling
Frame roof
Sheath roof
Sheath walls
Install interior walls
If they check off an item, it asks them to take pictures to a daily log that is linked to the task.
This way if we ever need to look up any details about the framing, we can search under framing and see the task, who marked it completed, and review pictures of it.
It would be good to have the field crews operate without the need for a full license, or offer a lower tier for field employees.
Same with subcontractors. it wold be great for subs to operate without a license, and be able to receive notifications, open the app and also mark their tasks complete and update daily logs and create punch list items.

I want to be able to track were my employees and/or subs are, how long they are at a site, and I want them to be able to clock in & out so I can track how much time they are spending for each task at jobs.

Time Tracking & Field Operations
Need time tracking by job, which is important, and then the added layer on top of that is I can put geofences around each job, which from a user experience enable me to get automatically notified or just periodically, you know, sort of assess what's actually happening.

GPS CREW ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE NOTIFICATION
Priority: HIGH
What I need: A simple geofence-based notification that logs when a crew member arrives at and departs from a job site. Not a complex time card system — just a location ping per crew member per project.
Why it matters: MM&I operates a performance-based bonus structure tied directly to hours worked. Without reliable arrival and departure data, proportional bonuses cannot be calculated fairly, attendance cannot be verified, and crew cannot be held accountable to the policies in their work orders. A simple arrived/departed notification is sufficient — it trains crew responsibility and time accountability without surveillance.
Suggested implementation: Mobile app geofence trigger → logs time in/time out per crew member per assigned project → feeds into project activity feed → PM receives notification.
