We're also excited to introduce our new file management solution. You can now upload and organize any relevant file type, including drawings, photos, and more. Once your files are uploaded into Handoff, our agent automatically generates detailed descriptions of what's shown, creates relevant tags for easy searching, and extracts key information like: room dimensions and ceiling heights, material types and quantities, linear feet of wall treatments, square footage calculations, window and door counts.
On top of that, from anywhere in the Handoff app, activate your Handoff agent and tell it to do what you need like create a new proposal or send a invoice.

Our AI can now read drawings, photos, and other files and extract extract project square footage, room sizes, quantities, and material selections
Handoff’s new AI assistant understands context, not just text. Upload any combination of:
Drawings – visual plans, material lists, and more
Images – site photos, progress shots, cabinet layouts
Videos – full walkthroughs or quick clips from your phone
Audio – voice notes that we automatically convert to text
Documents – any PDF, word doc, or spreadsheet. Includes vendor quotes, sub bids, inspection reports, scopes of work, material lists, cut sheets, and more.
Our models read dimensions from drawings, count windows in photos, transcribe spoken scope notes, and tag every file so you can find it later. Then, with one prompt: “Create an estimate from the photos I just uploaded”, you’ll have a ready‑to‑send estimate in seconds.
How it works:
Step 1 – Upload files to your project
From the Files tab (or directly in chat), drag and drop photos, drawings, and videos, no file renaming required.
Step 2 – Create your estimate
In the Estimates tab, type a plain‑language request like “Use the kitchen photos for a full remodel estimate.” Sit back while AI builds line items, quantities, and pricing.
Step 3 – Review & refine
Tweak labor rates, swap materials, or ask chat to update the scope, changes appear instantly.
While editing, you can also:
Snap a picture of a received sub bid or vendor quote, and AI will plug it into the estimate.
Upload a past estimate and tell AI to match those unit costs.
Upload a photo of the owners preferred material selections or finish level, and AI can update estimate.

To make generating estimates from photos, videos, and other documents, we're launching our new AI-native file management system. Handoff now allows you to upload almost any relevant file type including but not limited to: JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MOV, MP3, PDF, DOC, TXT, CSV, and ZIP. Use the files throughout Handoff, like for generating project estimates or attaching to client proposals.
