I’d like to be able to add a widget of sorts to my website for customers to enter a prompt and pictures/drawing/documents to get a preliminary estimate (would need to be ‘dialed in’ before acceptance)

Priceguide.ai is a good reference point for feature-functionality. Some of my contractor friends use it and are getting good results.

I feel this is a bad idea because it makes the customer less likely to actually use your services. You’re essentially asking to give them all of the power with none of the context. It will lead to constant confusion and mistrusts becasue they will wonder what you are even actually doing to be charging them so much money for doing work they can “estimate for themselves”. I think giving customers less points of contact with your company is going the OPPOSITE direction. Companies will inevitably use AI more and mor even if Handoff winked from existence tomorrow. Don’t replace the human elements, EXPAND THEM!! Let AI do all the stuff that customers never sees a human doing anyways, give your humans less tedious time and more customer time.

I think that’s smart, you’re getting time back and you’re weeding out the potential time wasters. I don’t know I am interested in seeing the outcome and would definitely use this feature.
