Unique Project Email to serve multiple scenarios

I’d like for each project to have a unique email address which my team can use. Here are just a few useful scenarios where this is useful, though I’m sure others can think of more.

  1. All correspondence sent and received from a single place. All threads with suppliers, vendors, subs, permitting offices, and customers are captured automatically, so context is added automatically. This would certainly help other features you’re working on like scheduling, risk analysis and mitigation, etc.

  2. A simpler scenario is a team member receives a vendor quote. Member forwards the email to the project email, and Handoff automatically:

    1. Updates the estimate with this new information

    2. Updates the proposal doc with this new information

    3. Updates the scoping doc with this new information

    4. Creates a new contact (for the vendor) from scraping the email and adds it to the CRM backend

    5. Updates the custom product catalog for that vendor with the quote information from the quote. This should be relatively easy since most quotes are in tabular form.

Handoff’s value prop is to let business owners re-coop their and their team’s time and productivity, but how much time are we really re-cooping if we’re still having to manually enter information, remember to add context to the project, download locally-then-upload files info Handoff. We’re just kicking the can down the road.
