Let me separate my estimate by area or room, instead of by trade.

Feature Requests

I need to estimate multiple areas for the same project.

For example,
-I’m doing a kitchen and 3 bathrooms of different size.
- I’m doing the main house, the garage, and the in-law unit.
- I’m doing apt units A B C
- I’m doing buildings 1 2 3
- I’m doing Floors 4 5 6
- I’m doing Phase 1 2 3

And my owner needs me to separate the bid into these prices. I want to organize and present these areas in 1 proposal, such that I have the cost of each area known. This lets the homeowner decide which areas they want to proceed with.

Currently, Handoff will just mix together the quantities of the kitchen and bath tile, flooring, drywall, lighting, etc. It makes the estimate difficult to use.

    Hi all, Handoff now lets you organize estimates by room instead of by trade. You can send a prompt like “Split this estimate up by room”, “Split this estimate up into Master Bath, Hallway Bath, Kitchen …”

    You can also combine estimates similarly! “Combine EST-10001 and EST-10002 ….” , “Combine Justin’s two bathroom estimates into one”

    Yes, create both of them. You could then pull it out of the CSV.

    This could also be done with a subgroups function where the subgroups roll up the main group. Group Kitchen » subgroups tile, appliances, countertops, cabinetry, etc
    Group Bathroom » subgroups shower surround, vanity, flooring, etc
