Condo Association Contractor Package Integration

This is probably the biggest one. Miami/South Florida condo associations require a contractor approval package before any work starts — licenses, insurance certificates, deposits, building-specific forms. Every job involves back-and-forth email chains with building management.

Request: Add a "Condo Approval Hub" as a member-facing module inside Handoff projects. Here's how it should work:

  • A condo association or property manager gets invited as a limited-access member tied to a building or project.
  • I submit a contractor package once (licenses, COI, workers comp, tax receipt, W-9, signed building rules, contact list).
  • The association reviews it and marks items as Missing / Submitted / Under Review / Approved / Rejected.
  • For each job, I submit a project package (unit number, scope, drawings, permits, schedule, deposits).
  • The project cannot move to "Ready to Start" until the association approves the package, permits are uploaded, and deposits are confirmed.

Suggested data fields:

SectionFields
Company profileLegal name, DBA, contacts, state license #, business tax receipt, W-9, COI expiration
InsuranceGeneral liability, workers comp/exemption, umbrella, additional insured confirmation, expiration alerts
Condo complianceSigned rules, indemnity forms, association approval certificate, deposits, elevator restrictions
Project submissionUnit #, owner name, scope, drawings, permits, expeditor info, projected dates
CloseoutFinal photos, closed permits, punchlist, deposit refund status

Request: Add traffic-light status (Green / Yellow / Red), auto-reminders for expiring COIs and licenses, and re-approval triggers when scope or specs change. This would eliminate the current email chaos and give owners, managers, and contractors one place to track approvals.
