you should be able to communicate with the client through the portal… That way all communication and conversations are in one location and not email or text where you may have separate conversations other than work related. possibly use the same system or alike, that you use with us when we message you guys. it sends us a text message through your system and says you can continue to communicate here or through text. if you know what i mean.
