Also, since materials list are created in quote with labor, a tab with removable pricing for vendor specifics( or selection of materials for specific vendor) would be ideal. CSV files work good and can manually be created, but streamlining process would put the icing on the cake. If process is not feasible, at least integrate where estimate can be revised via CSV file without having to reinsert with all markups and all manually figured. If materials list/ purchase order can be created when put thru quickbooks integration that would be a great option as well.

    I have added standard vendor pricing to our catalog.

    For example, we use multiple plumbers, I added the cost for each task they do into our costbook. so anytime we have a pull and replace toilet it uses that price. Add a new toilet within 5’ of existing is a different cost, add a new toilet is another price.

    We set the price to our highest vendor, so all estimates are always safe, and we can manually adjust down to our lower vendor rate if needed.

    I havent tested it, but I would bet you can set low/mid/high items in the cost book and just tell the AI which tier to use

    The AI does a good job of first pricing things through the costbook first, then using its own pricing if there is no set pricing for that task.

    You can also add rules. Anytime there is any new plumbing locations, include plumbing permit. anytime there is demolition, include a dumpster. Anytime the demolition is inside add floor protection.
