I like to attach progress photos with my invoices to justify and document the work progress that I'm doing. If I'm billing for "cabinets complete", I'll include a finished cabinet photo, etc. This is really important when billing on larger projects, longer duration projects, or for Commercial & Insurance clients. In all situations, they say "I'll pay this invoice, just prove that the work is done".
