Daily log creation flow is too complex for field users (too many steps / too much cognitive load).

Right now it feels like they have to go into Documents, create something, type it out, then convert it to a daily log. That’s too many steps and too much thinking for guys who are just trying to finish their day. It needs to be simpler and more direct.
